Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Equipment & Tool Engineer 1's for a contract opportunity in Auburn, WA.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is an equipment development, implementation, and improvement role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
  • Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
  • Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
  • Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.
    • Project they will be working on: supporting general team. Long hours on feet.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in automation and robotics.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to be on manufacturing floor wearing steel toed shoes.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard)

    WORK HOURS:

    Full-Time/First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

    ADDITIONAL:

    OT/DOT: 10-20%


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
