Chipton-Ross is seeking a Calibration Technician for a contract opportunity in Skaneateles, NY.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Strong knowledge of metrology systems and technology
- Excellent understanding of metrology with an ability to deal with complex processes and procedures
- Strong understanding of instrument capabilities and limitations and factors affecting their use
- Must be able to demonstrate considerable judgment and initiative in problem resolution
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Ability to Lead employees
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows sequence of testing from calibration procedures for instruments and equipment and ensures all tasks are performed in compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Creates and maintains equipment file for each piece test / manufacturing equipment requiring calibration.
- Sets up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
- Applies formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
- Assists engineers in evaluation plans and procedures, to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment.
- Ensures all tasks are performed in compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Serve as a technical resource on metrology issues.
- Assist with project activities to improve efficiency and optimize metrology process
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GEDWORK HOURS:
Full-Time 8AM-5PMEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
