Chipton-Ross is seeking an Equipment & Tool Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in New Orleans, LA.
OnsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience in tool engineering or design engineering
- Tooling drawings
- Modeling in a 3D environment
- 3 years' experience in tool engineering
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
- Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.
- Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
- Supports studies for disposition of assets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience with software Catia and CreoREQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMADDITIONAL:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
