Chipton-Ross is seeking 12 Systems Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA / Renton, WA.



100% onsite. Main location will be Everett, other location will be Renton, WA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Regular and predictable attendance is required. o 5-9 years of experience in systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace, automotive, or complex system domains. o Hands-on experience with V-Diagram processes (requirements, design, implementation, verification, validation). o Knowledge of safety assessments (FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES). o Familiarity with certification frameworks (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254). o Strong analytical thinking, clear technical writing, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client is seeking multiple Systems Engineer - Career or Expert to support our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team in Everett or Renton, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in requirements engineering, system architecture, design, verification & validation (V&V), and demonstrate knowledge of the Systems Engineering V-Diagram process as defined in ARP4754A/ARP4761 standards.

This role requires collaboration across multidisciplinary teams (hardware, software, safety, and test engineering) to ensure robust system development, compliance with certification standards, and alignments to make a positive impact on the future of The Client Company.

o Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft-level to system and item level. o Support development and maintain functional and logical airplane and system architecture. o Ensure functional hazard assessments (FHA), preliminary system safety assessments (PSSA), and common mode analyses (CMA) in alignment with safety objectives. o Guide item design and implementation, ensuring traceability to higher-level requirements. o Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model (item verification, system integration & verification, aircraft-level verification). o Support safety analyses (SSA, FMEA/FMES) and compliance with applicable aerospace/defense regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761). o Collaborate across software and hardware engineering teams during design and testing phases. o Provide documentation and support for certification authorities (FAA/EASA). o Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and interchange meetings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS). o System modeling (SysML/UML, Cameo, or equivalent). o Test planning and execution across multiple integration levels. o Aircraft design, development and certification knowledge.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related technical field, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM


Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
