Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Instructor 4 for a contract opportunity in Elkridge, MD.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor's degree in computer science with 10 years of experience, a master's degree in computer science with 5 years of experience. o Working knowledge in two of the following languages: C++, C, Java, HTML/XML, Fortran o Working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems such as Redhat, AlmaLinux, Windows Powershell, or OpenVMS DCL o Expert knowledge of structured programming techniques o Very knowledgeable of Instructional System Design (ISD) rooted in Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) methodology. o Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies o Excellent oral and written communication skills o Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills. o Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools. o This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for an experienced Software Instructor in our Technical Data & Training department. As a member of the TD&T department you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Design (software and hardware), Logistics and Reliability and Human Factors engineers, and program leadership to develop a software training program to teach international customers to design, program, patch, compile and test software for integration onto the COBRA Command and Control Center. This position will be on-site at the Troy Hill campus in Elkridge Maryland. Responsibilities:
o Train personnel to identify, troubleshoot, and remediate software issues o Work with software programmers and test and integration teams to design, code, test and integrate software updates to the COBRA Command and Control Center operational software in order to gain proficiency to train students. o Support the development, installation, integration, and testing of software updates for the COBRA Command and Control Center for customer delivery. o Become the subject matter expert able to perform skills gap analysis and plan, develop and implement a series of courses to teach customer personnel to code and test software updates and scripts and integrate mods into the COBRA Command and Control Center operational software baseline organically. o Communicate project status to the COBRA Command and Control Center Training IPT Lead.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o Practitioner knowledge of software programming languages, test and integration o Experience to program, test and integrate software for military systems o Certified Military (Navy, Army, USAF) Instructor with programming experience.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in computer science is required. School must be accredited.WORK HOURS:
9/80A or B workweek. 1st shift. 8 AM - 4:45 PM. Position is 100% on site.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
