Chipton-Ross is seeking 8 P-8 Maintenance Technicians C for a contract opportunity at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL.



100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Active Secret Security Clearance is required for this position. o Minimum 5 years of experience in either military or civilian aircraft maintenance and/or production. o at the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. o Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking Experienced P-8 Maintenance Technicians to support the P-8A Site Activation Support Team at Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, Florida.

o Perform the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes. o Conduct troubleshooting of complex avionics, pneumatic, hydraulic, engine, and structural components and systems. o Ensure validation/verification of testing systems and components. o Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results). o Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements. o Perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft. o Provide Advanced Skills Management (ASM) certification to government personnel. o Work under minimal supervision. o Apply professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturer's manuals. o Perform all maintenance action IAW CNAFINST 4790.2 series processes and procedures. o Identify material and special tools needs to accomplish daily work assignment. o May be required to support detachments away from Main Operating Base (MOB). o Complete temporary assignments to Whidbey Island, Washington for up to 8 weeks duration. o Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o 5 years or more experience supporting a P-8A Poseidon, 737 and 4790 maintenance organization. o Experience working with U. S. Navy Advanced Skills Management (ASM). o Experience supporting a maintenance organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be comfortable working on an aircraft, climbing ladders, confined spaces. Must be able lift 35+ lbs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM However, candidates must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
