Chipton-Ross is seeking a Subcontract Administrator for a contract opportunity in Lexington, KY.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- X(dependent on LG) year experience in Government procurements/subcontract Acquisitions; Comprehensive understanding of Global Supply Chain and/or complex Government procurement concepts and best practices
- Ability to conduct data analysis or research and/or understanding of negotiations to include multiple data sources
- Comprehensive understanding of negotiations and ability to analyze cost/price to establish a negotiation position
- Demonstrated experience with proposal evaluations (Price/Cost Analysis) and negotiations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
- Experience with Statements of Work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading teams and project initiatives; Demonstrated critical thinking / problem solving abilities to include experience with lean initiatives and supporting cross functional teams
- Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong organizational skills
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Subcontract Administrator embedded with a SOF GLSS Program Team, you will be responsible for managing subcontracts of varying complexity throughout their lifecycle, from request for proposal to contract creation, and ensuring cost, schedule, and performance are met. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering/Managing subcontracts from request for proposal to contract creation and through the life cycle of the effort.
- Overseeing cost, schedule, and performance of subcontracts.
- Implementing supplier corrective actions and return to green efforts as required.
- Providing status reports to senior and executive leadership.
- Collaborating with Compliance to support audits.
- (LG4 and LG5 only) Mentoring and serving as a knowledge resource on complex subcontracts, including those with Spec/SOW driven requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of standard US Department of Defense contract types
- SAP Systems Experience
- Ability to establish new suppliers and manage supplier performance
- Working knowledge of Labor Contracts
- Understanding of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) contract
- Background in establishing/managing competitive and non-competitive price agreements
- Experience Leading complex negotiations
- Experience leading Subcontract Management Team (SMT)
- Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership, suppliers and other external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between functional organizations
