Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialists (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
  • 3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units
  • Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime
  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available for client Level 3 review
  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing; must have documented evidence available for client Level 3 review

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
  • Performs tests or inspections and collects data
  • Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations
  • Utilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trends
  • Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products
  • Conducts on-the-job training (OJT)
  • Adheres to client policies, processes and major inspection methods procedures

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Penetrant and/or Magnetic Particle and/or Radiography Testing; must have documented evidence available for clientLevel 3 review
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans
  • Digital radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle experience
  • Experience inspecting composite material
  • 3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of working in confined spaces
  • Able to work from heights up to 55 feet
  • Able to fit through a 10'' X 18'' oval opening

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

    WORK HOURS FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime. Hiring team is in need of coverage across all 3 shifts.
