Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Management Specialist 4 for a contract opportunity in St. Charles, MO.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven experience facilitating workforce staffing or other resource planning processes within technical or engineering organizations
- Strong data analysis and automation skills, with demonstrated ability to collect, interpret, and streamline complex data sets
- Experience developing and tracking key performance metrics and KPIs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for creating dashboards, visualizations, and reports that support data-driven decision-making
- Specifically experience with the Power Query back-end of Power BI and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role serves as a key process facilitator and data analytics expert supporting engineering workforce staffing, resource planning, and other critical engineering functions within the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization. While this position works closely with engineers and senior engineering leadership, it does not require an engineering degree or technical engineering experience. Instead, the successful candidate will excel at facilitating engineering processes, driving process improvements across the broader engineering organization, and delivering actionable insights through data analysis and automation to enable effective decision-making. A strong passion for people development and engagement is essential. In this role, you will collaborate with functional engineering partners across disciplines, engineering leaders, and teams from Government Operations, Legal, Human Resources, and Finance teams to ensure staffing processes, development resources, manager tools, and engagement materials align with clients Engineering mission to deliver world-class engineering through exceptional talent. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting technology development or engineering programs
- Experience in a financial analytics role, experience with financial data, or previous experience in a role requiring financial acumen
- Experience with Tableau or other advanced data visualization platforms to create interactive dashboards and enhance stakeholder engagement
- Familiarity with data automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) to improve data processing efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Experience supporting staffing acquisition, deployment of skills, or workforce planning in a technical environment
- Strong process improvement mindset with experience leading change management initiatives
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working with all levels of users and presenting to senior/executive leadership
- Experience in financial analysis and budgeting to support project planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation within complex programs
- Positive, calm, and can-do attitude, even in stressful situations
REQUIRED EDUCATION Accredited Bachelor's degree or higher.
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
