Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Berkeley, MO.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of experience working with stress analysis/structural analysis
- 5+ years of experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis Software (FEMAP, Hyperworks).
- Experience with cleint Analysis Tool (Common Structures Workstation).
- Experience with design process specifications (Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization – MMPDS, Boeing Design Manuals – BDMs)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Provide technical solutions for aircraft production lines with high priority nonconformance stress analysis and engineering changes. Works under general direction.
REQUIRED EDUCATION Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
