Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Linthicum, MD.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o -Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5 years of engineering experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields OR o -Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3 years of engineering experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields OR o -PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 0 years of engineering experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields. o An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. o Knowledge and experience with systems hardware. o Secret clearance is required. o Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware integration issues. o Familiarity with executing MATLAB scripts. o Troubleshooting system hardware and software configurations.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our Systems Integration & Test team under the Tactical Fighters Business Unit. Candidate should be a self-starter with a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background. Roles & Responsibilities:
As part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test functional homeroom, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting system-level hardware qualification testing. Looking for second shift support in our ETL SIL. These responsibilities will include:
o Operate system bench and execute qualification test procedures for Environmental, EMI, and Electrical Power Testing o Troubleshooting hardware failures specifically with Environmental, EMI and Electrical Power testing conditions. o Rigorous I&T processes & procedures o Effective communication with team leadership and multi-disciplinary teams o Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally and external team members o Ability to communicate test failures and support troubleshooting effort o Process/analyze data to generate qualification report SDRLs (supplier data requirement list) Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements. o Support test environment stand up at ETL and maintain interface documentation o Interface with hardware and systems engineers in support of troubleshooting and verification.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o Experience writing and running MATLAB scripts in MATE (MATLAB Automated Test Environment). o Experience executing formal test procedures in a lab environment. o Experience with RF Hardware and test equipment. o Experience with Environmental, EMI/EMC integration and testing.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. School must be accredited.WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 2nd shift. On-site. This position will be in Linthicum, MD.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
