Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Material Handlers a contract opportunity in Byhalia, MS.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of daily forklift operation experience (reach or sit-down)
- Forklift certification required
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions and perform basic math
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to understand temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius
- Must pass a physical exam prior to start
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate Powered Industrial Equipment to transport materials
- Process orders using RF scanners and warehouse systems
Verify and apply stickers for inbound and outbound processes- Distribute product weight on trailers per load plan
- Prepare and load products per SOPs
- Stage and process damaged products
- Use correct pallets and packaging per customer/country requirements
- Inspect trailers and complete documentation
- Activate/deactivate temperature monitors for sensitive products
- Maintain daily PIT inspection checklist
- Document inventory discrepancies and complete training assignments
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited High School Diploma or GED
WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
