Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with soldering and other assembly processes
- Prior experience in circuit board assembly and Pick and Place
- Must be able to sit at a microscope for extended periods.
- Must be able to work closely with designers, engineers and technicians.
- Must be able to read/write English
- Must take and pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide.

- Follow ESD, safety, and cleanliness protocols to maintain compliance and reliability.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring quality workmanship and on-time delivery.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Work with advanced components including fine-pitch, 0201, BGAs, and microelectronics under magnification. Inspect solder joints for quality and compliance with IPC standards, drawings, and specifications. Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions. Set up, calibrate, and maintain soldering and rework stations; recommend tools/equipment as needed. Provide feedback to engineers on design-for-manufacturing improvements and component placement. Document work performed and maintain accurate production and quality records.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting electronic components a plus.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.WORK HOURS:
4/10-2nd Shift- Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 03:30pm-02:00 AM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
