Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple GNC Engineer 2's for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 1 year of experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience. o Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope. o Familiarity with Monte Carlo data analysis, 6DOF simulation, and signal processing is required. o Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and Python toolchains o Experience with high performance computing o Experience working with missile guidance and autopilot algorithms o This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, surface ships, missiles, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of launch, flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation or orbit in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft. Responsibilities:
o Work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop, verify, and validate a missile flight simulator. o Create and/or maintain Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents. o Review GNC workshare requirements, model hardware, and attend weekly / monthly international partner program meetings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o Experience working on hypersonic missiles. o Experience with AEGIS weapon system. o Experience with IR discrimination and tracking.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university is required. School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. 1st shift. On-site.
