Chipton-Ross is seeking an Avionics Technician 3 for a contract opportunity in Jacksonville, FL.



100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

-Active Secret Security Clearance is required for this position. -10 years of quality assurance experience. - 3 years P8 experience (required, new) - 10 years navy experience - QA (quality assurance) experience sprinkled in *very urgent need, looking to make a decision as soon as possible. -Prior navy experience or a navy retiree - because they will be performing 4790 navy maintenance. -Auditing experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking an avionics technician with prior navy experience. They will be performing 4790 maintenance working at a P8 site

Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements. Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations. Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System. Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence. Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution. Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes. Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution. Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion. Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes. Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products. Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards. Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements. Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation. Works under general direction.

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Well-rounded experience performing managerial type functions, avionics experience as well (they will be at a P-8 site).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited High School diploma/ GED.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM


Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
