Chipton-Ross is seeking an Administrative Generalist 2 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 1 year of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree.
  • Strong customer service skills (References or some indicator to verify customer service prowess would be preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Candidate would need to be experienced in learning management systems, or similar software systems, as they would be responsible for creating LX invites and providing LX credit to class participants while also being proficient with the generation of LX completion reports.
  • Proficient usage of all Microsoft office software is required as well.
  • Familiar with purchasing and payment processes
  • Required PPE - Steel-toed boots or approved foot protection if they are required to go in the yard
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Represents organizational unit on administrative matters. Recommends, interprets, and/or implements company and internal administrative policies and procedures. Performs as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas as finance, human resources, purchasing, research and development. May prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required. a. This role would support world class internal and external customer service. Specifically the role involves in-person, virtual and electronic interactions with every role including individual contributors up to senior level/executive leadership. Employee is responsible for ordering office supply materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels for office supply materials, food and vendor ordering for multiple training classes and special events. This role coordinates and schedules training events, learners and required training resources to support Leadership and Organizational development needs of the business. Lastly, this employee would support our data and metrics strategy to ensure data-based decision making internally to our department and externally across the value stream. Proactively monitors department supplies, equipment, and availabilities of resources (Trainers, Rooms, Office Stock, food/beverages, etc.) Understands the impact of risks in poor or incomplete staff work – schedules, timing, communication. Understands and manages the synchronization of people, processes, and infrastructure to provide excellence in customer experiences.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Project Management Certification would be ideal (not required)
  • Experience with data management, data-science, or data-based decision making is preferred.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Bachelors or Masters is required. School must be accredited.

    WORK HOURS:

    Full-Time 5/40 workweek First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM M-F. Position will be 100% in person. Remote will only take place on a case by case basis and is only granted by NNS Manager approval.


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
