Chipton-Ross is seeking a Program Performance Manager for a contract remote position.
REQUIREMENTS Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, cost-type contracts, and contract deliverable tracking. Tools Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, VBA/macros), PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with Primavera or MS Project is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capability; ability to translate data into actionable insights. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at preparing clear, concise reports and presentations
RESPONSIBILITIES Position Overview The Program Performance Manager will lead performance monitoring and reporting for government-contracted programs. This role is responsible for applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, managing work breakdown structures (WBS), tracking variances, and driving risk & opportunity mitigation. The incumbent will ensure accurate documentation, timely reporting, and effective coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Earned Value Management: Develop and maintain EVM baselines, perform cost-schedule performance analysis, and prepare variance reports for senior leadership. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Management: Create, maintain, and update the WBS, ensuring alignment with contract deliverables and program milestones. Variance & Trend Analysis: Identify cost, schedule, and technical variances; generate trend analyses and recommend corrective actions. Risk & Opportunity Management: Track program risks and opportunities, update risk registers, and facilitate mitigation plans.
Program Administration:
Initiate, assign, and track action items; ensure closure and documentation of outcomes. Maintain program logs, status reports, and comprehensive documentation repositories. Prepare and distribute regular performance dashboards, charts, and executive summaries.
Coordination & Communication:
Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings; prepare agendas and minutes. Send meeting reminders and follow-up communications to ensure accountability. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal team updates
Workload & Deliverable Forecasting:
Project resource requirements, manage contract deliverable schedules, and adjust plans to meet contractual obligations.
Microsoft Office Expertise: Develop advanced Excel models (pivot tables, macros, charts), PowerPoint presentations, and utilize Teams for collaboration, file sharing, and meeting coordination.
