ChiptonRoss is seeking a Field Technician for a contract opportunity in Gilbert, AZ.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance •2-4 years experience in repairs of electromechanical and electrooptical assemblies •2-4 years experience of basic avionics and electronics principles •2-4 years experience with CCA component rework and repair •2-4 years experience with troubleshooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment •2-4 years experience with the operation of general purpose and/or automated test equipment
  • 2-4 years experience with interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures
  • •2-4 years experience with industrial standards, military specifications and industry processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Ability to lift 35 pounds •Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements •Ability to understand policies and procedures for the use and control of Government property Ability to work with hazardous materials •Ability to mix and weigh chemicals •Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors •Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform painting duties as the secondary painter for systems and Misc. hardware
  • Performs depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (MTADS/MPNVS).
  • •Performs repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance test of mechanical, structural, optical subsystems and complete systems. •Operates automated or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses knowledge of basic mechanical and optical theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of defective components. •Utilizes precision measuring equipment to verify compliance to engineering specifications and tolerances •Setup and operation of conventional milling machine and drill press, to rework or repair mechanical components •Completes work In accordance with (IAW) engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Center Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs) •Documents work in automated maintenance data collection systems IAW Apache Fire Control processes and procedures •Provides technical feedback on electromechanical and electrooptical components to promote reliability improvements •Works with hazardous materials and chemicals, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required •Performs limited supply duties (load/unload trucks), operates overhead hoists.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    •Knowledge of automated and/or general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers and waveform generators) used in a depot 2-4 years experience
  • Knowledge of fault isolation for electromechanical and electrooptical components 2-4 years experience
  • Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair 2-4 years experience
  • •Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards 2-4 years experience •Military flightline maintenance experience 2-4 years experience
  • Candidate will primarily serve in a depot support role, but may be asked, on a volunteer basis, to temporarily support as a Contractor Field Service Representative (CFSR) if the need arises. While not a requirement, willingness to support the CFSR role is highly encouraged.
  • This role may involve international, domestic, or deployment based flight line operations.
  • If selected for CFSR duties, the candidate could serve up to a maximum of 24 months providing flight line maintenance and operational support.
