Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Must have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance
  • Candidates must be able to create 3D mechanical models, CCAs, harnesses and cables- implementation of geometric tolerancing, experience in 3D modeling (CREO experience required), optical physics,
  • understanding of precision machining, design review presentations.
  • 5 years experience of Creo.
  • 5 years experience in Mechanical design or Electromechanical design.
  • At least 1 year of Windchill experience.
  • Coordination with the documentation group on both program product design as well as the test engineering packaging group is also required.

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mechanical engineer for the Test Engineering Mechanical COE.
  • Responsibilities include detailed mechanical design and drafting of test stations, design changes, and general CAD modeling.
  • Design responsibilities shall also include designing vibration fixtures for units under test and fixtures for thermal testing.
  • Preferred skills and skills to be developed are understanding and implementation of geometric tolerancing, experience in 3D modeling (CREO experience required), optical physics, understanding of precision machining, design review presentations.

  • Accredited HSd/GED

  • Full-Time
  • 4/10 work schedule
  • 1st Shift


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
