Chipton-Ross is seeking 6 Engineering Development Mechanic 5's for a contract opportunity in Huntington Beach, CA.
100% onsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies. o Experience with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining. Familiarity with drawings, blueprints, and technical data. o Use of tooling: torque wrenches, countersinks, drills, deburring tools, and calibrated equipment. o Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and good communication with engineers and teammates. o Certifications (A&P), specialty training or equivalent experience are desirable. o Regular and predictable attendance is required.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineering Development Mechanic supports building activities for mechanical assemblies, heavy structure drill out, bonding, fastener installation, assembling components and wire harness installations.
Typical work includes building, modifying, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing components and structural assemblies used in production of product lines.
The role bridges hands-on mechanical work and executes planned work through work orders, designs, computer models, processes and procedures.
Typical responsibilities o Fabricate, assemble, and using standard hand/power tools and precision instruments. o Maintain accurate buyoffs of completed work, inspections, and non-conformances. o Collaborate with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements. o Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and configuration control.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for all assignments: classroom training and OTJ for certifications. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMADDITIONAL:
OT opportunities.Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
