Chipton-Ross is seeking a Flight Technology Integration & Verification Engineer (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Berkeley, MO.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Minimum of 4 years or equivalent experience in aero integration and verification, with a focus on military or commercial aircraft
  • Experience in system engineering, and the verification & validation process
  • Strong knowledge of airframe systems, Aerodynamic principles, Loads testing, GNC (Guidance, navigation & Controls), Vehicle management systems, and materials
  • Experience with test planning, execution, and data analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Experience with JIRA/PI Planning/Agile framework
  • Ability to schedule out projects, track progress, and hold stakeholders accountable
  • Ability and willingness to dig into details and follow up with stakeholders
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the integration and verification activities of the aero systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements as part of the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) capability. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with the T-7 platform or similar aircraft programs
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to aircraft design and testing (e.g., FAA, MIL-STD)
  • Proficient in using engineering tools and software for modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    TRAVEL:

    Potential for both domestic and international travel.

    WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
