Chipton-Ross is seeking a Remote Pharmacist for a contract opportunity in Deerfield, IL.



QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
oMust hold active Illinois pharmacist license in good standing. o Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. o Multi-state pharmacist licensure preferred. o Job experience in Drug Distribution preferred May be required to attend onsite meetings.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Ensure efficiency and completeness in remote prescription processing and dispensing. o Communicates with customers (hospital pharmacy, Renal clinics, etc.) to verify prescriptions, supplies, or support services required by patients. Evaluates dosages and schedules; consults with customer regarding therapy recommendations. o Communication with Customer Service personnel to perform/verify order entry quantities from customer data system. Communications with other Pharmacists located at other remote locations. o Oversight of all record keeping and licensing to guarantee accuracy and compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. o Ensures all required documentation is maintained, including exception reporting. o Participates in continuous improvement process by providing input for procedural changes. o Assures compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance and JCAHO standards, local state and federal regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs), if applicable. o Review, update and adhere to pharmacy protocols and procedures to maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agency regulations. o Provide pharmaceutical services deemed necessary, i.e. patient counseling, drug utilization review. o Report prescription audit results and trending on monthly basis. o Maintain and update all necessary reference materials. o Communication of issues with appropriate Vantive personnel including other pharmacists from remote locations and Customer Service personnel. o Create good working relationships with physicians and nurses from key clinics. o Other duties related to Pharmacy as assigned and as required by the Board of Pharmacy. o Participate in projects with cross-functional teams and provide professional knowledge and pharmacy perspectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited B.S. or PharmD from accredited School of Pharmacy.

WORK HOURS:

Full Time 1st Shift


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
