Chipton-Ross is seeking a Designer 2 for a contract opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year experience.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as AutoCAD. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Three years of related experience in electrical design OR experience as shipyard electrician. Associate degree in engineering design related field is preferred.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree.WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 5/40, workweekEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
