Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Architect Engineer 3 for a contract/Hybrid opportunity in Elkton, MD
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. o Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE principles, methodologies, and tools like Cameo System Modeler or other MBSE tools. o Knowledge and experience in system architecture design and analysis. o Experience with requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for a Systems Engineer Architect to design and develop system architectures, and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications. Develops thorough definition of system external interfaces. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept. Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer. Roles & Responsibilities o Employ MBSE approaches to developing products using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and MBSE resources to capture, maintain, and visualize a product solution within an integrated system model. Used to communicate the design and facilitate automation of integration with other domains. o Serve as a primary advocate for MBSE application on the program. o Perform technical planning, system design development, verification and validation, cost and risk, and requirements management for our system under direction of Lead Systems Engineer. o Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into a workable performance specification and CAMEO model. o Creates and manage System Architecture under self-direction using CAMEO and with resident Staff MBSE Subject Matter Expert. o Support design concept to SRR and PDR phase. o Familiarity with Thrust Vector Control Systems and associated electronics used in rocket motor platforms. o Collaborate with Program Managers and Chief Engineers to define SE WBS and develop a schedule of deliverables for Systems Engineering. Work with team to shape MBSE deliverables to the need of contract.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o Experience with Ground and Space systems or Command and Control systems. o Experience with verification planning and interface control documents (ICDs). o Experience with Agile development. o Experience with other MBSE tools like Rhapsody, Sparx EA, or Enterprise Architect. o Experience developing DODAF view artifacts.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 1st shift. Hybrid position.
HYBEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
