Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Support: Help colleagues with work as-needed, be open minded to changing scope based on laboratory outcomes. Able to work both within a team and independently
  • Lab Support: assemble equipment, operate experiments, schedule with colleagues.
  • Information processing: process lab results, communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Impediment removal: identify, communicate, and strive to eliminate obstacles to team progress.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Ultra high vacuum assembly, safely disconnect applied high voltage systems, ability to navigate custom controls systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
  • Experimental Hardware background
  • 1 year experience as System engineer or any related field.
  • Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) technology
  • High voltage
  • Charged particle physics
  • Design of experiments
  • Data analysis
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or similar role.
  • WORK HOURS:

    Day shift: 9:00AM to 5:00PM, PST. Full-time on site.


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
