Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Project Management Analyst 4's for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Newport News, VA.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. o Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience. Master's Degree and 8 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. o Minimum of 10 years of project management experience within heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or shipbuilding environments. o Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects with budgets exceeding $10 million. o Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). o Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams. o Demonstrated experience in risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making within a manufacturing setting. o Experience managing in a manufacturing environment. o Executive-level communication skills. o PPE: Hard hat, steel toes, hearing and eye protection.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

NNS is seeking a highly experiences Project Manager to lead and manage large scale projects within our heavy manufacturing and fabrication operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of project management principles and proven track record in overseeing complex manufacturing projects from conception thru execution. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in the shipbuilding industry or similar heavy manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities:
o Lead and manage all phases of project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for large-scale manufacturing and fabrication projects. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and integration of project objectives. o Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and cost constraints. o Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges and ensure successful outcomes. o Communicate project status, metrics, and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability. o Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout project execution. o Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, promoting professional development and best practices in project management. o Development an assessment of detailed project plans that show critical path items with dependency mapping, as well as resource loading for the successful execution for the duration of the project.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o Professional certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable. o DOD active Confidential/Secret Clearance preferred but not required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. School must be accredited.

HOURS:
5/40, First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM. Hybrid position. Travel required
