Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Cape Canaveral, FL.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Professional experience using a 3D CAD system (Creo, NX SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Experience with machine tool design or tool modification
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • US Citizenship required
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use of CREO to develop plans, drawings, models, revise and initiate formats for parts, assemblies, and installation engineering
  • Create new parts, drawings, BOMs, assemblies, simplified reps, shrinkwraps
  • Support team members with design knowledge
  • Complete layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices (ASME Y14.5)
  • Prepare complete production detail drawings
  • Completes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited HSD/GED
  • WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time
  • 4/10 work schedule
  • 1st Shift


  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
