Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Embedded Software Engineer 2's for a contract opportunity in Linthicum, MD.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience
- Experience with C++ - 5 years.
- Experience working on radio frequency systems
- Experience with digital signal processing
- Experience working with real-time embedded systems using VxWorks operating system
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience conducting unit testing with hardware in the loop
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
- Must hold an active SECRET clearance
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the planning, development, and testing of a surface Navy electronic warfare system.
- Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
- Use software development and collaboration tools like VS code, Jenkins, JIRA, BitBucket/GIT, Nexus, and Confluence.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to support system level integration testing.
- Implement software changes in C++ to port existing software to new hardware.
- Unit test software changes with system hardware.\
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
- Prior experience with Electronic Warfare system software development
- Experience with Electronic Warfare techniques and signal processing
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required. School must be accredited.WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. First shift.
