Chipton-Ross is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 years of professional experience or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- A good understanding of basic electrical, software, and mechanical engineering skills with the ability to teach others.
- Well-honed writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance. Interim Secret required to start position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Launcher Test Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for working with a small team in developing/updating launcher integration test plans and procedures based on system requirements, performing launcher integration testing with the M270A1/A2 and HIMARS (M142) Launchers, operating test equipment, analyzing and reporting on data collected from testing, and support flight tests at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM. The candidate must also be comfortable with hands on integration in launcher vehicle environments – the MFOM Integration Facility, the Vehicle Test Track, and the desert of southern New Mexico. This position is expected to work under general supervision. Other tasks will include supporting:
- Supporting the preparation of test plans, data packages and final reports
- Prepare for and Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and technical presentations
- Support Failure investigations and resolution of hardware, software and test equipment anomalies that have occurred during system and subsystem testing
- Selected contractor will be required to travel for this position from the Grand Prairie Texas facility to the White Sands Missile Range New Mexico facility twice a year for a duration of 1 week per trip.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Be able to understand and match system requirements into test requirements.
- Experience with M270/HIMARS Launchers.
- Experience with GMLRS/PrSM/MFOM programs is a plus.
- Knowledge of LINUX and data reduction tools.
- Knowledgeable in Agile processes with the ability to use JIRA for tracking software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Safety shoes and eye protection (goggles or glasses acceptable) required for this position.

WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time-4/10-1st Shift
ADDITIONAL:
- The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. An Interim Secret Clearance required to start position.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
