Chipton-Ross is seeking a Transmissions Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Must have experience in component design and manufacturing, have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving, have an understanding of loading and dynamics in mechanical assemblies, be highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives, be capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes, and possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transmissions designers work with gears, bearings, seals, housings, lubrication systems, and drive shafts within the drive system and utilize traditional manufacturing methods such as machining, castings, and forgings as well as advanced technologies in additive manufacturing.
  • Typical tasks include preparing drawing revisions and Engineering Change Orders, prepare Engineering Instructions and specification revisions, creating conceptual layouts, performing preliminary component sizing, and completing detail design tolerancing/stack-ups.
  • As a Design Engineer you will have the opportunity to interact with Analysts, Material and Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, and suppliers to drive designs to closure.

    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
