Chipton-Ross is seeking 10 Electrical Technicians for a contract opportunity at Kennedy Space Center, FL.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The ideal candidate has experience in electrical and wire harness installation.
  • Performs soldering on electronic and avionics products
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests
  • Install and terminate wiring, troubleshoots circuits
  • Applies organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
  • Works on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working on a NASA Program
  • Experience in a clean room environment
  • Manufacturing experience in human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware
  • Experience inspecting, fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be comfortable standing, bending down and crawling into confined spaces, must be able to lift 10+ lbs.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    WORK HOURS FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; Must be able to work all shifts. Training will be 1st shift.

    ADDITIONAL:

    Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

    This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
