Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Internal Communications for a contract opportunity in Santa Monica, CA.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, with a strong emphasis on
  • internal or employee communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop content and execute communications within
  • established strategic direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage concurrent projects
  • and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.),
  • and SharePoint technologies.
  • Creative and detail-oriented, with a passion for storytelling and engaging employees
  • through clear, compelling content.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft internal communications content based on strategic direction and narrative.
  • guidance provided by the Director of Internal Communications.
  • Edit and format content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Prepare content for internal channels including email, intranet, presentation
  • materials, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Maintain documentation and version control across projects.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions as directed.
  • Ensure adherence to established tone, voice, and messaging standards
  • Channel Execution & Coordination.
  • Manage content intake and coordinate cross-functional inputs for recurring and
  • organization wide communications.
  • Consolidate materials and prepare content packages for review and approval.
  • Support execution of established communication plans across key channels (e.g.,
  • monthly updates, quarterly business updates, campus communications).
  • Ensure distribution logistics are executed accurately and on time
  • Internal Communications Calendar & Project Management.
  • Own and maintain the centralized Internal Communications editorial calendar.
  • Serve as the operational owner of the internal communications project tracker.
  • Ensure visibility into timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across initiatives.
  • Align intake requests with established communication cadence and priorities.
  • Flag sequencing conflicts, timeline risks, or resource constraints to the Director for
  • decision-making Program Logistics & Production Support.
  • Support planning and logistics for internal events, leadership updates, and
  • broadcast-style programming.
  • Coordinate production timelines, materials, and vendor interactions as directed.
  • Track engagement metrics across internal channels.
  • Compile performance data and prepare summary reports.
  • Identify execution-level optimization opportunities and surface insights to the Director.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level communications or complex stakeholder
  • environments preferred.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • *Education MUST be accredited**

    WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time 08:00am-04:00pm HYB


  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
