Chipton-Ross is seeking a Engineering Project Manager 2 for a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.



100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. o Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. o 2+ years of experience presenting summarized project status and issues to management and the customer along with recommended future steps. o 2+ years of experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams within Client and external partners. o Experience collecting data, developing metrics, and conducting trend analysis. o Regular and predictable attendance is required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead multiple C-17 sustainment projects and support project proposal process. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, self-starter with a high degree of technical competency. The selected candidate will work across all areas of engineering, product support, finance, scheduling, technical publications, and retrofit management to ensure activities and tasks are completed to plan within cost targets. The candidate will interact with senior leadership and customer representatives to define project plans & communicate performance to plan.

o Oversee diverse portfolio of projects including experience with Non-Recurring Engineering projects. o Affluent in leading all aspects of the project lifecycle including initial planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closure. o Refined skill-set in the 10 Project Management Knowledge Areas: Integration, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communication, Risk, Procurement, and Stakeholder Management. o Produce appropriate project documentation and conduct management and customer reviews. o Accountable for developing and managing project schedules. o Utilize Earned Value Management Systems to measure project performance. o Build strong with Integrated Product Teams and facilitate team discussions as appropriate. o Prioritize, delegate and track tasks and action items needed to achieve project completion. o Utilize risk management tools to define risks, issues and opportunities. o Develop overall project plans consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o 5+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management. o 5+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives. o PMP Certified. o Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM). o Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project. o Familiarity with Risk, Issue, Opportunity (RIO) Management. o Experience working in a dynamic environment. o Experience collecting data, developing metrics, and conducting trend analysis. o Able to develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects. o Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work utilizing a solutions-oriented mindset. Credited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
