Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Candidates must have at least 1 years of Technical Writing experience.
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of Mechanical Testing (such as shock and vibration) experience.
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of Electrical
- Testing (primarily troubleshooting) experience.
- Disciplined ability to follow test procedures and attention to detail are critical for this role
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing shock and vibration qualification testing on system hardware.
- Maintaining detailed logs of test events.
- Writing formal technical reports for requirements verification at the completion of qualification tests clearly showing compliance to test objectives and requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding how to utilize and prepare general test equipment including but not limited to digital multimeters, multi channel scopes, power supplies,
- Data Acquisition Units (DAQ) etc.
- Familiarity with environmental qualification testing at component level.
- Ability to understand analog signals, review real time measurement data and make real time decisions.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to collect and catalog detailed test data and concisely present data to internal stake holders along with recommendations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with Sr. Management and Leadership.
- Ability to adequately prepare and present data reviews to a mixed audience and field questions with support.
Experience communicating and working with interdisciplinary teams.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited HSD/GED

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
