Chipton-Ross is seeking a Remote Project Specialist for a contract opportunity.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

" 2-4+ years of LMS administration experience. " Direct experience migrating content between LMS platforms. " Working knowledge of SCORM (1.2 and 2004), xAPI, and other eLearning standards. " Experience with course authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Lectora, etc.). " Strong data management skills (Excel proficiency required). " Detail-oriented with strong QA and troubleshooting abilities. " Excellent documentation and communication skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The LMS Specialist - Content Migration is responsible for converting, migrating, and validating training content from an existing Learning Management System (LMS) to a new platform. This role ensures training materials, learning paths, user data (as applicable), and reporting structures are accurately transferred, fully functional, and optimized within the new LMS environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on LMS administration experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of eLearning standards such as SCORM and xAPI. " Audit existing LMS content including courses, curricula, assessments, certifications, and learning paths. " Convert course files to ensure compatibility with the new LMS (SCORM, AICC, xAPI, etc.). " Rebuild or reconfigure courses, quizzes, and learning paths where automated migration is not feasible. " Map legacy system fields and metadata to the new LMS structure. " Ensure version control and content integrity during migration. " Conduct thorough QA testing of migrated courses to ensure:
o Accurate completion tracking o Proper scoring and assessment functionality o Correct reporting outputs o Compatibility across browsers and devices " Troubleshoot course errors and system configuration issues. " Validate user enrollments, completion history, and certification data (if part of scope). " Configure course settings, permissions, user roles, and reporting dashboards in the new LMS. " Collaborate with IT, HR, and Learning & Development teams to align system functionality with business requirements. " Document migration processes and system configurations. " Provide support and guidance to administrators and end users during transition. " Maintain migration timelines and task tracking. " Identify risks, data gaps, or system limitations early and recommend solutions. " Communicate progress updates to stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

" Experience with enterprise-level LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, SAP SuccessFactors, Docebo, Moodle, etc.). " Familiarity with user data migration and reporting configuration. " Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for course troubleshooting. " Project management experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited high school diploma or GED

WORK HOURS:

Full time, 40 hours a week
