Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Huntsville, AL.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Recent 3 years of hands-on on experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python.
  • Standard teaming: Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited universi.ty with 3-years of professional hands on experience
  • Active/Final Secret Clearance.

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience – (GreenHill or VxWorks)
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Previous experience writing and designing to software requirements
  • Previous experience Software Hardware integration.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university with 3-years of professional hands on experience.

    • WORK HOURS:

  • 5/40-1st Shift.

    • ADDITIONAL:

  • Active Secret Clearance


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
