Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Assemblers (Level C ) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
- 7+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
- 7+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
- 7+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
- Performs functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as perform aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.
- Assesses and documents test or analysis data to show compliance.
- Identifies roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
- Supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring.
- Adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
WORK HOURS FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT: These positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.PER CLIENT:

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment – OJT or formal classroom training. 8-10 Weeks of Training, 3 failed assessments results in release.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
