Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst for a contract opportunity in Greenville, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Static strength analysis of major external modifications and primary structure repair and modification of fixed-wing transport category aircraft to FAA requirements. Advanced skills in classical and finite element analysis methods. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Minimum of 12 years of fixed-wing commercial or military aircraft structural analysis including the following:
- Classical stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structure.
- Finite element analysis using MSC Nastran and Siemens Femap.
- Construction of air vehicle FEM in Nastran.
- Calibration and validation of finite element models to test.
- Strain gage testing of aircraft for certification.
- Testing of composite and metallic structural components.
- Design and analysis of aircraft structural repairs.
- Preparation of stress reports for aircraft certification.
- Microsoft Word and Excel.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load development and stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structure, equipment racks, and othe interior installations using classical analysis methods and finite element techniques. Provide design support, detail stress analysis, and MRB support for modification of primary aircraft structure and interior items.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- NX (CAD), Teamcenter, and VBA coding in Excel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Minimum of B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or equivalent Engineering degree.
**Education MUST be accredited**WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time-Monday-Friday 08:00am-05:00pm.
ADDITIONAL:
- Candidate must hold an active secret clearance.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
