Chipton-Ross is seeking 7 Equipment & Tool Engineer 2's for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.
100% onsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. o 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking Equipment and Tool Engineers to support multiple positions across our teams in Puget Sound, Washington.
A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor, interacting with mechanics, safety, and tool makers, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.
This position is a Production Engineering role and requires direct interfacing with the people and equipment on the production floor. A typical day could include:
o Spending up to 8 hours on feet standing/walking on the production floor. o Climbing ladders or stairs to access equipment. o Working at heights or in tight spaces. o Wearing required PPE.
o Investigates and develops equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements. o Performs tool liaison activities to support tool fabrication and production use. o Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models to support the build plan. o Creates specifications and purchase requests for the acquisition of new equipment and tooling from external vendors. o Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. o Develops and documents equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and supports user training development. o Manages budgets and schedules to deliver equipment and tooling solutions to customers.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o 2 or more years of experience working in a production environment. o Mid-Level: 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o Senior Level: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Pressure Vessel Design Engineer. o 2 or more years of experience working in a production environment. o 2 or more years of Project Management experience. o Working knowledge and application of pressure vessel codes such as ASME Section VIII and its related ASME/ANSI Codes. o Strong knowledge and application of NBIC codes Part 1, 2, 3, & 4. o Application of piping codes such as ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3. o Strong understanding of pressure vessel fabrication processes and maintenance procedures. o Strong understanding of material mechanics & behaviors under conditions such as extreme temperatures and vibrations. o Strong understanding of non-destructive examination procedures such as magnetic particle examination and ultrasonic testing. o Knowledge of welding procedures and testing requirements. o Experience and adeptness in the application of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics principles. o Hands-on experience with the design of autoclaves for use in composite curing processes. o Design of quick actuating closures or breech lock door mechanisms. o 5 or more years of experience working in a production environment. o 5 or more years of 3D modeling experience. o 5 or more years of GD&T experience.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. through advanced technical education.WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PMEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
