Chipton-Ross is seeking a Flight Technical Data Engineer (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Seal Beach, CA.
100% onsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Regular and predictable attendance is required. Technical writing and documentation experience.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking a Mid-Level Flight Technical Data Engineer (Level 3) to join the FCOM team. The role supports the creation and maintenance of the Flight Crew Operations Manual (FCOM) and Quick Reference Handbook (QRH).
o Analyzes engineering data related to flight crew operations procedures, operations manuals, and checklists. o Designs and develops flight operations data and documents. o Evaluates detailed engineering information, drawings and supplier data, and integrates into engineering and operational data packages for flight crews. o Performs engineering research for customer specific requirements and resolution of customer problems. o Converts engineering data into the flight operations data used by flight crews. o Performs engineering research in support of customer specific requirements, problems, and concerns. o Evaluates customer digital data and publishing system's needs. o Create tools and processes to gain efficiencies related to FCOM and QRH productionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o Technical manuals experience is ideal but not required. o Pilot experience is ideal, but not required.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Possible OT opportunities.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
