Chipton-Ross is seeking a CNC Machinist for a contract opportunity in Torrance, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist or operator, with understanding/familiarity of CNC programming and operations.
- Proficiency in reading technical documents and blueprints, along with mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Basic mathematic skills include, but are not limited to, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
- Must be capable of using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, dial bores, thread gauges, and basic measuring tools.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and surface finishes related to blueprint requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- CNC Machinists use a variety of CNC lathes, mills, lasers, and waterjets used to cut metal for the manufacturing of helicopters and helicopter parts in accordance with manufacturing procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited HSD/GED

- Full-Time
- 2nd Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
