Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Management Specialist (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and using standard project management tools.
  • 5+ years of experience presenting to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a cross-functional interpersonal environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The successful candidate will be able to take ambiguous uncharted information and mold it into an achievable and scalable plan. This person will apply their project management experience to aid in the definition of project scope, objectives, and milestones. Through the application of project management standard methodologies, this role will track overall project performance, identify risk and mitigation plans and adapt scope and schedule as required. This role will also be responsible for the integration of projects across the organization and communication of status to the leadership team. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
  • Supports preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Participates in maintaining, analyzing, and producing metrics related to plans. Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case.
  • Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Coordinates document work statements and resulting schedules. Identifies and provide reports on performance variances, project status, change information to project team.
  • Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to stakeholder.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 + years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 + years of experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leaders.
  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with a variety of project management tools.
  • PMP or Project Management certification
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Walk up and down scaffolding
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    TRAVEL:

  • Potential for up to 5% domestic travel
  • WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM

    ADDITIONAL Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

    This position will require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted prior to a start date.


    Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
