Chipton-Ross is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a contract opportunity in Torrance, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Requires several years of experience after completing a formal apprenticeship program.
- A journeyman license or certification is a requirement, depending on the specific trade and location.
- A strong understanding of the principles and practices of specific trade is essential. Ability to calculate/determine power, amperage & voltage of new equipment and current equipment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and dependability is important.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, repair, and maintain systems and equipment specific to trade (e.g., electrical systems)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and use expertise to find efficient solutions.
- Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand project requirements
- Safety: protocols, codes, and industry standards.
Independence and collaboration- Work autonomously on tasks while also collaborating with team members to achieve project goals.
Often responsible for providing technical guidance to apprentices or less experienced technicians.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited HSD/GED

- Full-Time
- 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
