Chipton-Ross is seeking 6 Fabrication Specialist A's for a contract opportunity in Salt Lake City, UT.
100% onsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Regular and predictable attendance is required. o Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling metal structure components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of blueprints and production orders and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. o Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. o Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. o Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. o Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. o Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. o Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for all assignments: Yes, on the job and classroom training.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o 1+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o 3+ months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience. o Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data. o Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting. o Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/Second Shift 3:30 PM - 12:00 PM OT on SaturdaysEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
