BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Regular and predictable attendance is required. Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. 15+ years of experience performing complex engineering or system integration work. 8+ years of experience in leading and/or managing complex projects. 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers and business partners.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The 777-9 Systems Integration team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as a systems engineering integration focal in Everett, WA. This role will lead interdisciplinary, cross-functional activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex, lifecycle-balanced system-of-systems solutions that directly support 777-9 certification and entry-into-service objectives.

Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Engineer will support Systems IPT projects and initiatives critical to achieving 777-9 Amended Type Certification (ATC) and Entry into Service (EIS). The role will lead and coordinate multi-discipline technical integration across organizations to manage system architecture, interfaces, and certification-related technical risks and opportunities. The engineer will be accountable for one or more projects and will provide technical, requirements-based leadership on issues that require cross-functional stakeholder alignment. The candidate will apply an interdisciplinary approach, develop trade space and integrate stakeholders from many systems engineering disciplines to ensure mission success.

o Lead special projects and initiatives to progress systems maturity towards 777-9 type certification (ATC) and entry into service (EIS) including development and execution of integrated plans that balance technical, safety, cost, schedule and certification constraints. o Define, decompose and maintain system requirements; lead requirements management activities, traceability, verification planning, and configuration control across system boundaries. o Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate technical issues, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of physical, functional and program interfaces across subsystems and supplier organizations. o Lead analyses to optimize total system architecture, including affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and certification considerations. o Identify, quantify and manage technical risks, issues and opportunities across the systems design teams; lead development and implementation of technical risk mitigation o Lead detailed technical investigations and verification activities to ensure system integration and regulatory/certification compliance; define remediation plans and drive closure with engineering, suppliers and certification authorities. o Communicate routinely with internal and external stakeholders - including IPT peers, executive leadership, suppliers and regulators - to align technical strategy, status, tradeoffs and certification posture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o 10+ years of experience with Transport, Client 7-Series and/or McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.. o 5+ years of experience with US and/or foreign aircraft certification/regulatory processes o Experience leading major design changes through multiple phases of product and certification lifecycle. o Certification and/or experience working with FAA regulations and Regulatory Administration. oProject Management exposure / experience (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008).

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
