Chipton-Ross is seeking 7 Assemblers (Level A) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
- 6 months or less using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
- 6 months or less in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.
- Ability to successfully complete training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations, all conducted in English.
- Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs with proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to read and demonstrate comprehension of detailed work instructions in English.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
- Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.
- Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
- Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED, or Technical Degree.WORK HOURS:
FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT;Contractors must be able to work any shift which is based on business need.PER CLIENT:
