Chipton-Ross is seeking a Janitor for a direct opportunity in Torrance, CA.
Client is offering salary increases twice a year. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Ability to operate equipment and machineryIntegrity and ability to work independently or as a team member- The Janitor position requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stooping.
- May use ladders and machinery like buffing machine, floor cleaning, vacuum cleaner.
- Ability to lift,
carrying up to 40 lbs.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and maintain designated spaces both inside and outside of the facility on a daily
basis, which includes the lobby, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, parking lot and public areas.- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, shampoo carpets, wash windows and
empty trash on a daily basis.- Maintain and stock supply rooms and bathrooms as needed.
- Perform light maintenance and repair.
- Check for potential safety issues or needed repairs
on a daily basis and bring them to the attention of the Facility Manager.- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time
- 1st Shift
- Must have the ability to work 2nd shift as needed.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
