Chipton-Ross is seeking an ECLSS NX Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 7+ years of relevant CAD/Design experience.
• Experience working in aerospace design. • Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings. • Demonstrated development and configuration management experience on technically complex hardware products.- Knowledge of mechanical engineering design and manufacturing.
- Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41.
- Expertise with Siemens NX.
- High level of expertise in GD&T.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own design and drawings for thermal hardware from conceptual phase through product release and manufacture.
• Ownership of the BOM, mass tracking and hardware release • Define and manage interfaces between vehicle subsystems and support design trades.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Expertise with Teamcenter.
- Experience with tube routing.
• Experience with soft goods such as MLI. • Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work well in an integrated team including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers. • Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited Bachelor's Degree.
WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time-5/40
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
