Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aircraft Machinist C for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
  • 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting machine code data (MCD)
  • 1+ year experience setting up and operating Manual and/or CNC machines.

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reads and interprets moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts as required using manual and CNC machines.
  • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.
  • Assists other machinists in completing job responsibilities.
  • Follows detailed verbal and/or written instructions.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 787 Program Experience.
  • Experience in a team environment.
  • 3+ years of experience using manual mill and lathe machines.
  • 3+ years of experience setting up and fixtures, operating, and programming CNC machines with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.
  • 3+ years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including probing and using dial indicators to establish set points.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

    • WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time- 1st Shift- 05:30am-02:00pm


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
