Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple MECH TECH K 3 (PIPEFITTER) for a contract opportunity in Charleston, SC.

• 5 years of related experience with High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred.
• Required PPE:

1. MSA Comfo Classic Half/Full Face Respirators or

• RESPIRATOR 3M SPEEDGLASS PAPR 9100MP ADFLO (Must have a approval from H&S)

2. 1401173 3M DBI SALA EXOFIT X100 14 Harness.

3. 3500276 Nano-Lok Edge Twin leg PER. Self Retract Lanyards.

4. MSA Skull Guard Hard Hat (WHITE).

5. 3M PELTOR Optime 95 Earmuffs H6B/V ***WE DO NOT USE EAR PLUGS***

6. Kleenguard Calico safety glasses.

• Responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing piping systems and equipment.
• The pipefitters work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing, placement, pitch, elevation, pressure reduction, expansion, and operation of various piping systems and equipment.
• They install, modify, and repair systems by setting up system routes, placing and cutting route openings, installing hangers at proper pitch and elevation, and determining and installing such things as risers, branch outlets, expansion joints, pumps, gauges, and pressure regulators in the combination needed to ensure the proper operation of the systems.
• The pipefitters also install equipment by planning and completing the routing and placement of systems leading to the equipment, determining and placing the equipment at the proper elevations and points in the systems, and joining, sealing, and testing systems and equipment for proper pressures, leak-free joints, and operation.

High School Diploma.

School must be accredited.

First Shift 6:00AM-2:30 PM
